Microllam headers and beams can be built-up on site to cut down on heavy lifting. Moreover, installation is quick with very little or no waste. The advanced manufacturing process minimizes many of the natural inconsistencies found in wood, such as knots, splits and wane. This allows Microllam to be very stable and they resist warping, splitting, shrinking and supporting heavy loads without worry.

Weyerhaeuser TJI Joists
Trus Joist developed the wooden I-joist 50 years ago and Weyerhaeuser continues to build on that legacy. Engineered to provide strength and consistency, these joists are a key part of making a high-performance floor. The dimensional stability of Trus Joist TJI joists help them resist the warping, twisting, and shrinking that can lead to squeaky floors. TJI joists are light weight and come in long lengths, which makes them faster and easier to install than traditional framing and saves you both time and money. For 14 years straight years, TJI joists have been recognized by readers of Builder Magazine as the “most-often-used engineered I-joist.” The results are from a survey of 10,800 builders, builder-developers and general contractors in the U.S. With TJI joists, you get a great product and decades of research and real-world experience resulting in better performing floors that use fewer trees while also reducing jobsite wood waste.
Anthony Power Beam
Power Beam® is a superior glued laminated beam and header for use where reliable engineered wood applications are required. The 3-1/2” and 5-1/2” widths readily match 2×4 and 2×6 wall framing. The Power Beam® depths also match all joist, truss, LVL, PSL, and I-joist floor or roof framing. The 7” Power Beam (2800F) is for longer spans and heavier loading. Depths go up to 28 7/8”. The Power Beam® uses only readily-available Southern Pine lumber, recognized through extensive testing as the strongest lumber resource available. The Power Beam can be used for window, door and garage door headers, floor edge and center girder beams, roof ridge beams and commercial beams and purlins. The Power Beam only uses small diameter fast-growth timber, therefore reducing pressure on our forest resources.

The beams offer easy installation, are ready to finish and less expensive than building it yourself. Only Better Header® offers you the patented PFS Fastening System. This multi-angle, pre-fitted steel nut allows for maximum compression without compromising the structural integrity of the lumber. The PFS system, combined with grade 5 bolts, provides the ultimate strength and eliminates the need for furring… making every project a success.
